In this post, I want to talk about PawnMaster’s “Price Guide”. You and your employees see it every day but have you clicked on it?
For many years, I flew out to New York City and Las Vegas to attend the Interop. I know, it sounds pretty rough but I made the most of it. If you are not familiar, Interop is an annual trade show promoting interoperability, IP networks, and emerging cloud computing technology.
When we say “small business,” it sounds “small” but in reality there are approximately 28.2 million small businesses in the US according to the US Small Business Administration.
More than half the working population works for a small business – that’s 120 million people! Small businesses have been generating more than 65% of new jobs since 1995. (more…)

With the recent AWS outage being reported, it becomes more apparent how important good planning and infrastructure is. PawnMaster Ignite is built with redundancy and automatic fail-over to multiple data centers so even with the issues that Amazon was facing, we experienced zero down time meaning it was “business as usual” for PawnMaster customers. Their stores and their interactions with their customers are protected. From our end there is nothing to report on other than that we were able to confirm the rock solid build and deployment strategies we have been known for over the past 30 years. We will continue to leverage the amazing services that AWS provides so our customers are serured when things don’t always go as planned.
Does your shop carry any accessory items to upsell and complement other items in your shop? You know, things like alkaline batteries, phone chargers, guitar strings or ammunition? If you do then I hope you utilize PawnMaster to set reorder levels on those items by entering a max quantity of at least 1 or more. When you do this regularly, you can run Inventory report #4 “Inventory Re-orders-Primary Vendor” and know what needs to be ordered. Easy!
BONUS TIP: Those accessory items also have UPC barcodes printed on the packaging. PawnMaster cross-references those UPCs on the sales screen if you entered it when the item was added to your inventory. In other words, you don’t need to print labels for items that you sell that have preprinted barcodes on them.
In 2016, many operators were forced into unchartered waters when a portion of the market had to search for new pawn software. Be it because of unfortunate life circumstances or business decisions of companies to take alternative directions in their business models to attempt to fast track success. Many operators did their homework and changed direction themselves by moving over to PawnMaster. There were many reasons for this besides great products and services. Stability, integrity and transparency were key elements for people making the move.
