What I Would Tell My Younger Self: With Billy Booth

When asked to write a blog about what I would tell my younger self if I could go back in time, I first thought of the sports almanac from Back to the Future. Of course, there is also stock info and crypto currency. But I digress as I am sure that is not the intention of this requested blog.

Most of the things I would tell my younger self are the same things I share with my two sons, as often as they are willing to listen to the ramblings of their old man.

First and foremost, always be yourself. There will always be people that want to change you or tell you what your limitations are. Those are typically the people that cannot do what you can. Whatever you choose to do, have fun and do it with the intention of being the best YOU can be at it. If you are always comparing how well others are doing, you have missed the point and will miss out on all that life has to offer. Find ways to express yourself. Whether it be through art, music, dance, etc.  Also, empathize. If you can’t see things from different perspectives and truly be able to put yourself in another person’s shoes, you will remain myopic and never fully appreciate the plight that others have endured. Lastly, I would warn of the dangers that are inevitably coming and that no matter how bad it seems, having meaningful relationships, friends and family will always be what gives you the strength to keep moving forward.

Oh, and… buy as much Bitcoin as you can as soon as you hear about it.
