Entrepreneur Jay Hammond opened The Milford Trade & Exchange Company in Milford, Delaware in 1996. He built a successful pawn shop and firearms /accessories retail business. “We are ten years old, we are going into our tenth year. We have had PawnWizard when we started, then we when from PawnWizard to Champion. Then we went back to PawnWizard, honestly, none of them were great – they were adequate at best. The Champion software had no technical support; if you had a problem you’re stuck. PawnWizard, just a very basic program. Oh, we even did Alpha Pawn, was another one, HI-Tech was the other one.
