Everyone that owns a pawn shop usually finds a way to create an event you can have at your store. What I would tell you, is to approach that another way. Pawn shops usually have a perception problem. Fine a local charity or a local community club that can help sponsor and be your partner. What we did back in Austin, is we found the “Boy and Girl Club”, I would make a donation to them and then they would go to our store and hold a fundraiser every month. What charities and churches are always looking for, is a place to have their event. They need locations, we need bodies, merry these two ideas together. Churches and charities are PR machines, they’re going to reach way more people than you’re going to reach. You make the donation, they do the work, success follows.
