11 Beyond The Shop: Aged Inventory

So, as I travel coast to coast and even in my own stores what I see as a major problem for the future is an abundance of aged inventory. You need to look at what turned 90 days old in your store and what turned 365 days in your store every day. Print that out and keep it in a binder, then go touch the 90-day item move it, reprice it. Then go touch the 365 item, move it and reprice it to sell that week. On average each item in a pawn shop get’s look at, at least once a month. After a year that means 12 sets of eyes have looked at this, if 12 sets of eyes have look at something and they haven’t bought it, it not price right. May sure you reprice it to sell that week.
