A: Tracking firearms movement in and out of the shop is very important, so PawnMaster records the acquisition and disposition of every gun in two separate databases. The first being the PawnMaster main database and the other is a separate database called the electronic gun log.
Every time you print the Firearms Discrepancy report both databases are compared and if there is an entry in one and not the other, the discrepancy is reported. There are a few technical reasons that can cause this, such as network interruptions during a firearm transaction, but converting from another software is the most common reason you might see a discrepancy on this report.
